4 Wall Exercises That Firm Underarm Jiggle Faster Than Gym Classes After 60

Arm jiggle is a common concern that can occur due to hormonal shifts and the loss of lean muscle mass and skin elasticity as you age. If you’re looking to sculpt strong, defined arms, we have you covered with some exercises to consider adding to your regimen. Jacob Siwicki, founder and head coach of Siwicki Fitness, NCSF and AFAA certified, former top 1% globally ranked Equinox group fitness instructor (2019), Dartmouth economics graduate and former Dartmouth football player, fitness expert on FOX 5 DC, shares four simple wall exercises that can help strengthen your arm muscles and address arm jiggle after 60.

“Strong arms make everyday life easier. Carrying groceries. Pushing open a heavy door. Lifting something onto a shelf. Even getting up from the floor. Honestly, everything gets easier when you’re stronger,” Siwicki tells us. “These exercises can build the muscles underneath the arms. They can also help the arms look firmer. They cannot choose exactly where body fat comes off or change loose skin. That takes the full picture.”

Siwicki recommends performing the exercises below three times a week.

Wall Pushups

  1. Begin standing tall, arms-length away from a wall.
  2. Place your hands shoulder-width apart on the surface.
  3. Engage your core and bend your elbows to lower your chest toward the wall.
  4. Press back up to the starting position, keeping the movement slow and controlled.
  5. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps.
