4 Wall Exercises That Flatten Lower Belly Faster Than Sit-Ups After 65

It’s common to fall into a familiar routine performing your favorite exercises. After all, you’ve likely experienced results and feel comfortable doing this regimen. But experts suggest switching up your workouts to boost muscle, strength, and endurance—and continue progressing instead of plateauing. Doing so keeps you motivated and can help you reach your goals more efficiently.

A perfect example is belly-fat workouts. Many fitness enthusiasts turn to traditional ab exercises like sit-ups to tackle this area of the body. Well, we spoke with Jacob Siwicki, founder and head coach of Siwicki Fitness, NCSF and AFAA certified, former top 1% globally ranked Equinox group fitness instructor (2019), Dartmouth economics graduate and former Dartmouth football player, fitness expert on FOX 5 DC, ranked #1 personal trainer in D.C. in 2021, who shares four wall exercises to help flatten lower belly fat faster than sit-ups after 65.

“I like these four exercises because they train the core to do its real job, which is keeping the spine and pelvis steady while the arms and legs move. The wall gives you support, but it does not do the work for you. You still have to brace your abs, control your posture, and stop yourself from rotating or arching,” Siwicki tells us. “They are also a lot more accessible for someone who has trouble getting down on the floor or has wrist, shoulder, or back issues. You can make any of them harder just by stepping farther away from the wall or moving more slowly.”

All you need is a sturdy wall and your body weight to get started.
